In 2012 you could say I had one of those 'what am I doing with my life?' moments...and on 30 November 2012 I left 'the office' and opened the doors to Sew Much To Do in Ely...and what a journey since then!
From the very start my goal was always 'Inspire...Create...Smile...": I wanted the shop space, fabrics and sewing supplies to 'inspire' anyone who came in...Once feeling inspired, I wanted to make sure we provided a gorgeous range of quality fabrics and supplies that would then help our customers to 'create' their own projects...And you can't beat that smile you feel or see with a completed project.
In October 2016 I took the challenge a bit further and opened our second shop in Bury St Edmunds - another beautiful Cathedral city.
Our product range has also grown - as well as gorgeous fabrics and sewing supplies, we now stock yarn, knitting and crochet supplies, felting goodies, a great range of sewing machines and overlockers, Horn furniture...and more! We also have a growing calendar of events and classes for all stitchers.
We have a fabulous team - whether you're looking for some help with a dressmaking pattern, advice on a new sewing machine or help with choosing fabrics for a new quilting project - we're here and happy to help where we can.
That's pretty much our story so far and I feel really privileged to be a part of our local communities; the welcome we have received has been amazing - we have the loveliest customers, thank you.
